The Select Console form enables you to select a console for performing gate operations. A gate console can be used to determine the available printers, or to automatically fill in the Print Tickets form (on page 1) with a default printer for printing gate tickets.
When you access a <GateStage> tab (on page 1) for the first time after you login, N4 displays the Select Console form to enable you to select a console. If you do not select a console, N4 displays the Select Console form again the next time you access a gate form. The Select Console form displays only the consoles associated with the gate. If a user works more than one gate, then all the required consoles must be associated with all the gates that the user needs to work. If a user has to switch seats to work another gate, the user must close all the <GateStage> tabs where they were sitting, before opening a <GateStage> tab at the other gate.
To select a console:
From the Console ID drop-down list, select the ID of the console to perform gate operations.
The list displays the gate consoles configured for the gate. For more information on associating a console with a gate, see Consoles tab (on page 1).
Click Save.
Notes
If you leave one of the <GateStage> tabs open when you exit N4, N4 displays the Select Console form when you log in the next time using the same user name and password.
